Jennie Davis, 83 wife of Earl Davis, of Halls, died a noon Tuesday in Lauderdale County Hospital. Services were set for 3 p.m. Thursday in Halls Funeral Home, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

She also leaves six sons, Spence, of Gates, James, of Bells, Paul, of Tampa, Fla., and Earl, Harold, and William, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Spry, of Halls, and Mrs. Catherine Stewart and Mrs. Dorothy Olds, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Cox, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Mattie Jones, of Los Angeles Calif.; 37 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Date of death: April 22, 1980.
