HALLS - William H. 'Jackie' Burroughs, 79, retired farmer, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Halls Masonic Lodge No. 564. Burroughs, the widower of Gladys Hilliard Burroughs, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Tilly Perry of Halls; three sisters, Mrs. Owen D. Burroughs of Halls, Mrs. Robert T. Meeks of Senatobia, Miss., and Mrs. Ann Martin of New York; two brothers, E. C. Burroughs and Joseph B. Burroughs, both of Halls, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
