Mary Spence Alsobrook, 89, of Halls, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at Dyersburg Manor. She was a graduate of Halls High School and Memphis Business School, she was city recorder for the town of Halls for many years, she taught bridge lessons for Dyersburg State Community College and wrote newspaper columns for the Halls Graphic, Dyersburg State Gazette and Lauderdale County Enterprise, a member of Halls First United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in United Methodist Women, a member of Key Corner Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution of which she was a regent, Lauderdale County Historical Society and Thursday Bridge Club. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Halls First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Halls Cemetery. |
