I, Daniel Harrison, for and in consideration of the sum of two dollars to me cash in hand paid, the receipt of which To is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and M. D. Cox- sold and do hereby bargain, sell, transfer and convey to Elder &c M. D. Cox, his heirs and assigns forever, the following described piece or parcel of land in the 6th Civil District of Lauderdale County State of Tennessee,
To have and to hold the same to the said M. D. Cox, his heirs and assigns forever. I covenant that I am lawfully seized of said land, have good right to convey it, and that the same is unencumbered and I will warrant and forever defend the title to the same to the said M. D. Cox, his heirs and assigns. This 4th day of May 1889 his Daniel [X] Harrison mark State of Tennesse Personally appeared before me, clerk of the county court of said county, Daniel Harrison, the within named bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within instrutment for the purpose therein contained.
