p. 1:3 (Mrs. Ada Apple). "Mrs. Ada Apple, widow of Robert G. Apple, died Wednesday at her home in the Eleventh civil district of this county. She was stricken with paralysis about ten days ago from which attack she never rallied. She was about 60 years old and was a splendid Christian lady. She was a daughter of the late Capt. S. B. McDearman and was a sister of J. C. McDearman a prominent business man of this city."

p. 1:2 (Cornwell-McDearman). Wedding of Louise Cornwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cornwell, to Bancroft Murray McDearman of Memphis, formerly of this city. Took place Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at home of the officiating minister, Dr. H. M. Jarvis pastor of the Hobson Methodist church in Nashville, former presiding elder of the Cookeville District.
Mr. and Mrs. McDearman will reside in Memphis where he holds a responsible position. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McDearman. From the Putnam Co. Herald.
