Raymond Cockerham officiated at the service with burial at Jones-Owens-Mayberry Cemetery. Humphreys County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church and a member of the Robert E. Lee #167 Eastern Star.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Duncan was the daughter of the late James and Mary Lelar\u00a0<b>Potter Weatherspooon.<\/b>\u00a0She was married to the late George\u00a0<b>Ferguson Duncan<\/b>, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two sons, George Ferguson\u00a0<b>Duncan<\/b>, Jr. and Gary Lambuth\u00a0<b>Duncan<\/b>; and by three brothers Monroe\u00a0<b>Weatherspoon<\/b>, Richard\u00a0<b>Weatherspoon<\/b>\u00a0and Alvin\u00a0<b>Weatherspoon<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her daughter, Barbara\u00a0<b>Horner\u00a0<\/b>of Hurricane Mills, her son Jimmy\u00a0<b>Duncan<\/b>\u00a0of Snellville, Ga; her brothers Charlie\u00a0<b>Weatherspoon<\/b>\u00a0of McEwen and Bill<b>\u00a0Weatherspoon<\/b>\u00a0of Goodlettsville; her sister Rachel Malvina\u00a0<b>Totty\u00a0<\/b>of Duck River and five grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>(Submitted by daughter-in-law, Jeanette Wallace Duncan)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Funeral services were held Monday, July 17, 2000 at Buffalo United Methodist Church for Mary Elizabeth\u00a0Duncan\u00a0of Hurricane Mills.
