Funeral services were held on Friday, October 10, 1986, at Luff-Bowen for Mrs. Gracie L.\u00a0Clements<\/b>\u00a0of McEwen. Mrs. Clements, age 79, died Wednesday, October 8,1986 after an extended illness.<\/p>\n
Rev. Gerald Sexton of the Assembly of God in Dyersburg officiated at the graveside service in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Luff- Bowen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.<\/p>\n
She was born in Humphreys County and lived here the first sixteen years of her life.She lived in Dyersburg, Tennessee until two and a half years ago, before returning to Humphreys County. She was a retired co-owner of Clement Restaurant in Finley, Tennessee.She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dyersburg. She was the daughter of the late David Frank (Tink)\u00a0Buchanan\u00a0<\/b>and the late Mollie\u00a0Batton<\/b>.She was the wife of the late Hugh H.\u00a0Clements<\/b>. Survivors include brothers- Mr. Samuel P.\u00a0Buchanan<\/b>\u00a0of Montgomery, Ala., Mr. David (Petie)\u00a0Buchanan<\/b>– Waverly, Tenn., Mr. Howard D.\u00a0Buchanan<\/b>-Memphis, Tenn., Mr. Wilson Dean\u00a0Buchanan<\/b>– Henderson, Ky. and sisters Mrs. Flossie\u00a0Hicks<\/b>– Waverly,Tenn., Mrs. Nancy\u00a0Farrar<\/b>\u00a0– Nashville, Tenn.,Mrs. Goldie\u00a0Claude<\/b>\u00a0– Waverly, Tenn.,Mrs. Ludie\u00a0Headrick<\/b>– McEwen,Tenn., and Mrs. Ruth\u00a0Crowell<\/b>\u00a0– Lynchburg, Va.\u00a0D.
