HOUSTON<\/strong>, whipped a young man on the day of election, named Berry, for belonging to the militia, and was fined $6.00. \u00a0The whipped boy lives at <strong>J.H. GREGORY&#8217;s.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wm. HARGROVES,<\/strong> for letting a woman whip him, was fined $2, and for whipping the same woman, was taxed with the cost.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kate McGINNIS<\/strong>, for whipping HARGROVES, fined $2<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wm. VAUGHN,<\/strong> a lineal descendant of Noah&#8217;s cursed son, beat his step-daughter, a girl 14 years old, unmercifully, at the instigation of her mother, and the court taxed him with the cost.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Baalam HILL<\/strong>, like his illustrious namesake who rode the ass, acted badly. \u00a0The modern Baalam, however, also acted foolishly, and got drunk, for which he was fined $2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>W.D. KENDRICK<\/strong>, for throwing rocks, breaking jar and spilling preserves, fined $7.50<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bob PORTER,<\/strong> alias Stump the Barber, either from smelling strong Bay rum or having too much Benzine on the brain, violated the Sabbath, and Recrd&#8217;r A. fined him $2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Abe LOONEY Jr.<\/strong>, for &#8220;going for&#8221; a sassy negro with a stick, was made to pay $5.<\/li>\n<li>Rosa WARD, no relation to the Rev. H. WARD B. &#8211; whipped her husband, and was fined $2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>M.S.
