(d. 1872)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Knoxville Press and Herald of the 22d ult. Says: By a letter from a correspondent at Duvall\u2019s Bluff, Arkansas, dated Monday, 19th inst., we are informed that a man, who is supposed to be <strong>W.B. ROBBENS<\/strong>, sheriff of Anderson county, was murdered at that place on the day before, Sunday 18th inst., by a ruffian. <strong>Mr. ROBBENS<\/strong> left this city last Tuesday in company with <strong>Geo. W. LEATH<\/strong>, to go up White River, Arkansas, to obtain some money left to his wife by her father, formerly well known in Anderson county as \u201cold fur Bob,\u201d who had moved to Arkansas dying there some months ago. <strong>LEATH<\/strong> went along as guardian for some grandchildren, to obtain some money which had been left to them also. While waiting at Duvall\u2019s Bluff, for a steamer to take them up the river, the tragedy, of which we have no other particulars, occurred. <strong>Mr. ROBBENS<\/strong> lived near Sulphur Spring, in what is known as Dutch Valley, about six miles from Clinton, and leaves a wife and six children.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: Cleveland Banner, 1 March 1872.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Knoxville Press and Herald of the 22d ult.
