W.J. HOUSTON<\/strong>, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church Wednesday evening, was an enjoyable affair, well attended and appreciated. \u00a0Quite a delightful program was entertainingly rendered. \u00a0The address delivered by <strong>Dr. HOUSTON<\/strong> so eloquently, and was followed by a talk from <strong>Rev. J.T. TUCKER<\/strong>, a student preparing for the gospel ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The debate, &#8220;Resolved, That the World is Growing Better,&#8221; was quite interesting. \u00a0Rev. L.A. BENSON held up the affirmative, while <strong>Rev. L. GREENLEAF<\/strong> sustained his reputation as a negative orator. \u00a0Both arguments were forcible and logical. \u00a0The address of <strong>Professor BROOKS<\/strong> was highly entertaining and amusing.<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least enjoyed, was the spread by the ladies. The table was loaded with every edible and &lt;&#8230;&gt; the appetite could desire. \u00a0<strong>Mrs. HOUSTON<\/strong> proved herself a mistress in the art of entertainment. \u00a0Before the wee small hours we all left happy and cheerful. &#8212; By. <strong>Prof. Wm.
