She was born in Buford [sic] County, North Carolina, October 3, 1840, but has spent most of her life in McNairy County. Her husband died years ago and for a long while she lived alone, but is now living with her daughter, <strong>Mrs. J.F. VIRES<\/strong>, who lives five miles east of Finger. 53 years ago <strong>Mrs. KIRK<\/strong> joined the Christian Church. She is the mother of 6 children; grandmother of 15; great grandmother of 35, and the great great grandmother of 3 children. <strong>Mrs. KIRK<\/strong> is in good health and vigorous. She still enjoys light house work. She is known and loved by a host of friends.
