Banner. \u00a0He was extensively known throughout the State as a practical newspaper man. \u00a0He wielded a trenchant pen, was pungent, spicy and to the point. \u00a0He leaves a large circle of friends. He died on pneumonia fever on the 7th inst.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><i>Blount County democrat.<\/i>\u00a0(Maryville, Tenn.), 15 April 1882.\u00a0<i>Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers<\/i>.
