J.F. BEALS<\/strong> of Friendsville, received an appointment from Washington city this week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mrs. E.A. BLACKBURN<\/strong> and daughter, <strong>Mrs. LEE<\/strong>, who have been residing in Kansas, returned last week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. W.R. JONES<\/strong>, of Friendsville, was in town this week, and renewed his subscription to the Democrat.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. J.M. GREENAWAY<\/strong>, a former resident, now a citizen of Lexington, Ky., is in town visiting relations and friends.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mrs. Dr. B.A. MORTON<\/strong> and little son <strong>Bennie<\/strong> left Wednesday last for Ga., to visit her mother, who is ill.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rev. J.N. BEARD<\/strong> of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a brother-in-law of <strong>Prof. H.W. SPRAY<\/strong>, is in town on a visit to relatives and friends.<\/li>\n<li>The following delegates left for Nashville, Monday last, to attend the State Democratic Convention, returning Friday evening: <strong>Gen.
