M.A. Martin.\u00a0 The many warm friends and admirers of Judge Martin have been much shocked at the unexpected announcement of his sudden death which occurred on Tuesday night, the 3d inst., at his residence near Clarksville.\u00a0 He was a highly distinguished citizen, a man of the finest intellect and most social qualities.\u00a0 He had been a Circuit Judge in Tennessee for sixteen years, and was fifty-one years old at the time of his death.\u00a0 It is remarkable that three citizens of Tennessee so distinguished as\u00a0 jurists and men of intellect as TURLEY, CAHAL, and MARTIN whould have died so suddenly and in so short a time of each other. \u00a0&#8212; Nashville Banner<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Source: Fayetteville Observer (Fayetteville, TN); 17 June\u00a01851.
