BAKER<\/b>, 78, of St. Charles, Va, died Saturday in Lee General Hospital after a short illness. He was a life-long resident of Lee County, a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, of Pucketts Creek, a retired miner, a member of Jessee Lodge No. 155, and Pensioner&#8217;s Local 8761. Survivors include his widow, <b>Mrs. Nannie Rogers BAKER<\/b>; five daughters, <b>Mrs. Warren Wright<\/b> of Kingsport, <b>Mrs. Ruby BUCKHART<\/b> of Indianapolis. Ind., <b>Mrs. Kyla WOODWARD<\/b> of Columbus, Ohio, and <b>Mrs. Elena COWANS<\/b> and <b>Mrs. Walter STAPLETON<\/b> of St. Charles; one son <b>Carl BAKER<\/b> of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, <b>Samp BAKER<\/b> and <b>Frank BAKER<\/b>, both of Pennington Gap; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Source: Hawkins County Post, 4 January 1968.
