HALE<\/strong> \u2013 known as <strong>Stony Point Bill HALE<\/strong> \u2013 quite a respectable citizen of that county, shot and instantly killed a man by the name of <strong>KIRLEY<\/strong>, also a respectable citizen of that neighborhood. The occurrence took place at Walden\u2019s Ridge, 6 miles southeast of Tallett\u2019s Mills. Our informant knew nothing of the cause that brought about the difficulty. Politics had nothing to do with it, as both men were pious members of the church \u2013 <strong>HALE<\/strong> belonged to the Cumberland church, and<strong> KIRLEY<\/strong> to the Methodist church.
