LEA,<\/strong> of Fulton, was on last Thursday shot, and, from all accounts, dangerously wounded, by one of his tenants named <strong>NEVINS<\/strong>. \u00a0We understand that <strong>Mr. LEA<\/strong> had a deed of trust on <strong>NEVINS<\/strong>&#8216; horse, which horse <strong>NEVINS<\/strong> was trying to get away. \u00a0Mr. LEA followed, and overtook him within a few miles of Fulton, and was taking him back when unexpectedly <strong>NEVINS<\/strong> drew a pistol and shot, the ball entering a little below the back of the left ear, lodging in the head of<strong> Mr. LEA,<\/strong> who immediately fell from his horse, <strong>NEVINS<\/strong>, with his horse, making off. \u00a0A force is in pursuit of <strong>NEVINS<\/strong> and it is to be hoped that he will be captured.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: Jackson Sun, June 4, 1875<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ripley News: \u00a0J.L.
