Runaway Slave: Sewall
Ranaway from my place on Cow Island, on the 18th inst., my negro man, named SEWALL; he is about 30 years old – 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high; has a deep scar on one of his cheeks; very defective teeth; lowering look, and is a dark copper color. I think he is lurking in or about Memphis. I will pay the above reward for his lodgment in jail at Memphis, so that I can get him. — Levy LOWRANCE. 18 miles below Memphis.
