Military Order in Memphis (1866)
Gen. FISK, of Bureau notoriety, has ordered that the negro schoolhouses and churches, destroyed in Memphis during the riots last week, be rebuilt within ten days, and, says the Post of that city, the cost of their construction will be levied upon the city, together with all other damage done during the riots. Poor Memphis! “Bully” negro!! Heavy Bureau!!!
