Isaac Trotter Not Guilty (1871)

Correction — Last week we chronicled in this column, the robbery of “uncle Overton,” an old colored peddler, by Isaac TROTTER.  Isaac is jealous of his good name, and requests us to say he did no such thing. We make the correction, with pleasure, for we will not, knowingly trample upon the character or rights of even the humblest colored man, wantonly.  It was Essec TROTTER, and not Isaac, who was guilty.
