CORLEY Accidental Death (d. 1866)

As a young man named Seth CORLEY was getting out of a buggy near Smith’s Mill, on Mill Creek, on Tuesday, the accidental falling of a pistol from his pocket caused the discharge of the weapon, the contents penetrating his heart and producing instant death. He was a young man much beloved for his qualities of head and heart, and his sudden death is deeply mourned by a wide circle of relatives and friends. (Nashville Press and Times, 31st)
