CALDWELL, James – (d. 1897)
James CALDWELL, a pioneer of East Tennessee, died at Wolf Creek a few days ago, aged 98 years. His fourth wife and twenty-four children survive him. He married his first wife when he was 16 years of age. His eldest son, who survives him, is 80 years of age. He was the father of twenty-seven children.
