Bolivar Female Academy (1865)

The doors of this excellent educational institution were opened on last Monday, and quite a respectable number of young ladies, present on the occasion. The Rev. Mr. GRAY has charge of the school, and aided by his gifted and thoroughly efficient assistants, will most surely place the Academy on a parallel with the best in the country. Parents and guardians who propose sending their daughters or wards to this school, should do so at once, as it is far the best for both tutor and pupil that scholars be classified in the early part of the session. All of the primary and higher branches are taught, together with instructions in vocal and instrumental music, and every opportunity given and facility employed that is requisite to a complete female education.
