Three Deaths In the Community (1875)
There has been three deaths in this community within the past week. Near Picketville on the 15th Mrs. A. SENTER, aged about 50 years, died of consumption. In this place last Friday, Joseph RIFFLE, a citizen of Texas and bridge contractor, died also of consumption, aged 30 years. Last evening Mr. A. PATTON, one of the oldest and best citizens of our community died of pneumonia. He had been sick about six weeks suffering a great deal. His remains will be interred in Oakwood Cemetery this evening. — Milan, 19th May 1875.
