Brown - Ligon - Foster I would like to correspond with anyone researching
BROWN, LIGON, and FOSTER families living in Henry Co 1820 to 1845. Henry
Washington BROWN, my great grandfather, was listed in the 1830 census with
his wife (Susan LIGON) and 6 of his 11 children. There are also 12 other
BROWN families listed in the same census, some whom I believe are his brothers
and perhaps they have descendants still in the area. Land records show
Henry W. BROWN acquiring land in the 12th district as early as 1820 and
both he and Peter LIGON are mentioned numerous times in the court minutes
from 1824 to 1825. What was Peter's relation to Susan? Since Henry Co was
just being formed, where did they migrate from? Henry BROWN's daughter,
Henrietta Brown FOSTER was buried at Manley's Chapel. Did she leave children?

families of Henry and Stewart Cos. found in the Paris library. I'm trying
to find the family of Thomas R WILLIAMS born 2 Oct 1818 in Stewart Co which
included Henry Co at that time. Thanks for any help.

Brawley - Murrays I am a Murray who has little information about my
family history. I know that my grandfather was born to Carrie BRAWLEY-MURRAY
on July 29, 1907 at Murray Hill in Paris, TN. Carrie and her husband divorced,
and then Carrie died when my grandfather was 5. My grandfather was sent
to live with a BRAWLEY aunt (Ellen BRAWLEY ) in Hawaii. Therefore, I know
very little about the Murray side of my family. My grandfather was very
proud of his Scottish heritage. I know that his father remarried and had
other children. On the BRAWLEY side, I am a direct relative of Maude McAdams
who worked at the court house. She was my grandfather's 1st cousin. In
the 70's, my grandfather acquired a copy of his birth certificate and Maude
sent photos of him with his mother, a copy of William and Mary WHITE BRAWLEY's
marriage certificate, and a copy of his will. These have since gone by
the wayside. I am asking for help in reconstructing our history. I have
children and want to pass on the information.

County Home I am looking for information on the County Home ( I think
this was a state-run home for the elderly ) which was in Paris, TN, north
of the city on what is now called Old County Home Road. It was located
near what was then the "old rubber plant". I think it was started
in the early 1900's by a Tubbs family. I would like to know where exactly
it was located, when it was built, who ran it and for whom, when it closed,
and where its records from beginning to end can be located. Any help you
can give will be appreciated.

Old Pewter Foot " KENDALL who was a state senator from Henry Co 1813-1821.
Would like to tie down the date of his death to see if the local paper
in Henry Co has his obituary. I would also like to know the significance
of the " Old Pewter Foot " moniker. I believe I am descended
from him, but have yet to prove Edward KENDALL as one of his sons. Thanks
for any help you can give me. Bill Kendall
