BURCH
in 1803 in Caswell Co., N.C. They moved to Henry Co, Tenn
sometime after 1827. They had 10 children. One son Basley
married
Caroline Matilda LIGHTFOOT in 1844 in Henry Co. Tenn. They later
moved to Ark where they raised their family. George died in 1842
and Jane died 1855 in Henry Co, Tenn. George and Jane's children
are: James H., Susan, Nancy, Basley, Green, Ira, George, Mary,
William and Sidney BROACH. I do have George's probate records
from
Henry Co. Tenn.

I am searching for ancestors and decendants of SARAH YOUNG b. ca.
1835, and WILLIAM WALKER, b. ca 1836, somewhere in Tennessee.
Taken
from a surname list of the 1850 Census of Henry Co., there is a
Sarah
YOUNG, 383, 15th Civil District; and a William WALKER, 385, 15th
Civil District. I am wondering if these could be my Sarah and
William. Does anyone have the 1850 census of Henry County in
more
detail? Am I correct in assuming these two lived close together?
By
1877 they were married and living in Lawrence Co. Missouri.
Perhaps
there could be some marriage lists around. There is also family
history to suggest that one or both could be part Cherokee. Any
help or information you can give would be greatly appreciated.

County
and owned property there in the 1860, 1870, 1880 census's. My
line of HALEY
comes from Ludson S. HALEY, born in 1827 and Louisa Eliza
[THOMPSON], born

before 1880

I have a very old picture, that was given to me by my
grandfather William Marse BESHIRES's sister. This picture is of my great grand mother

is wearing a Native Amer. dress and her hair is in 2 braids. She
also has
a bead necklace on. I am at a lose as to which nation she belongs. Her mother
was Nancy "Nann" HANKINS and father James William DANIEL. He was
from Madison Co. I think that she got her Native Amer. heritage,
through
her mother, as tradition dictates. I also have a picture of
Lucinda's sister, Alice HENSON, in a dress that appears to be of Native Amer. in
nature. Is
there
anyone who can help me with this, by looking at the style of
these dresses? I

Hardeman Co.

grandfather
? HANCOCK left some land to be used for a school in Henry County.
If the
school no longer used it, the land was to be sold and the money
distributed
to his heirs. Approx. 10 years ago the land was sold and a
Wal-Mart was
built on it. All of his heirs signed releases for the money to be
donated
for the school system. Does anyone know the name of this Hancock?

Francis MCCONNELL bought land in Henry County, TN 1819. His
son Francis
Robert MCONNELL (my ggf) was born in TN (according to census) prior
to coming
to Henry County. Francis Robert married Sarah Catherine HENCHEY
in Henry
County. Francis Sr. married Theresa Henchey about 1838 in Henry
County
(2nd? 3rd? wife). They are all buried in Antioch Cemetery.
Visited there
in 1972 and all gravestones standing then. I assume they (like
everyone
else in Western TN.) probably came from North or South Carolina.
Would

information
I have.
