Hoping that this \r\nletter may fine you injoin the sam\r\nWe got a letter from North Carliner a few days ago an Thomas Davis \r\nis marage to a Inez [?] Stanfield [?] and [ ? ? ] is marade to her \r\nsister an J. A. Davis sent to [?] and died. \r\nAunt Nancy Davis ided an baby. Jane is marade to a man by name \r\nof Jergen living in arkansas. \r\nThey was married on the 20 day of february, 1849. \r\nJ. Cannon is marade to a mis Kirk an Dolley Woodrall is maraded to \r\nhis father in law.\r\nI now will tell you about all. J. B. Davis is livin on Cub Creek an \r\nis Sq [Squire] in the district an J. M. Davis an family is well with \r\nthe exception of the whooping cough. The old man had it too. \r\nDavid Y. is single yet and lives with farthr an mother. \r\nI hav had too children an thay are ded. The first won was born on \r\nthe 23 day of July, 1847 an dide on the 7 day of August. \r\nThe last won was born on the 15 day of October, 1848 an dide on the \r\n10 of Febery, 1849. Its name was Mathew Allen. The first we never named. \r\nThay had the hives thay war both boys.\r\nWe ar a living on the rode going from Jackson to bradley's ferry \r\non Tensee river between whar the Wilber Morgens live an owns. \r\nI would be glad to se you an famaly. I will tell you of the prises \r\nof ower produce. Corn is seventy five sents a barel, cotton $1.25 \r\nsents a hunderd, pork [?] is too an 25 sents a hunderd. \r\nI hav not time to rite any mo at the present time \r\nbut remain your affectinate sister.\r\nSarah A.
