{"id":791,"date":"2026-01-05T15:30:42","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T21:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/haywood\/?p=791"},"modified":"2026-01-05T18:42:28","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T00:42:28","slug":"estes-family-cemetery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/haywood\/estes-family-cemetery\/","title":{"rendered":"Estes Family Cemetery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by Tem Moody&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Estes Family Cemetery is located about 1\/4 mile south of&nbsp;Fulton Road (SR 87) on Estes Lane in Haywood County, TN.&nbsp; It is<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">about 0.2 mile east of the Lauderdale County line.&nbsp; To reach the&nbsp;cemetery from Brownsville TN travel west out of town on Hwy 54 to<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Hwy 19 West, then to Hwy 87.&nbsp; Turn left on Hwy 87 and travel 10.5&nbsp;miles to Estes Lane.&nbsp; The cemetery is surrounded by a concrete fence, four feet<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">high&nbsp;and one foot thick, sits on a small rise and is hidden by a clump&nbsp;of cedar trees and brush.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">First row, right to left, on the west side.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Dedicated to the memory of MOREAU P. Estes, Born November 13, 1820, Died April 16, 1859<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">MARY FRANCES daughter of MOREAU P. &amp; MARY Q. ESTES DIED March 16,1854 Aged 14 years 9 months and16 days<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">EDWARD CAREY ESTES DIED July 10, 1848, aged 10 months<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">SARAH BELL ESTES DIED May 25, 1852, Aged 2 months and 23 days<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">MARY FRANCIS, daughter of B. and Mattie C.
