{"id":920,"date":"2014-01-30T00:56:06","date_gmt":"2014-01-29T23:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/?p=920"},"modified":"2014-01-30T00:56:59","modified_gmt":"2014-01-30T05:56:59","slug":"anderson-joseph-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/anderson-joseph-will\/","title":{"rendered":"Will of Joseph Anderson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Book 2, Pages 32-33<br \/>\nProven: June 3, 1867<\/p>\n<p>I <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Joseph Anderson<\/span> of the County of Hawkins and State of Tennessee being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make and ordain publish and declare this to be my last will and testament that is to say:<\/p>\n<p>First &#8211; After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged the residue of my real and personal I give bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit:<\/p>\n<p>2nd &#8211; To my beloved wife <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sary Tabitha<\/span> the tract of land on which I now live containing seventy five acres more or less adjoining the lands of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Christian Kenner<\/span> and others likewise two mares and two colts and forty head of hogs and six head of cattle and fifteen head of sheep, and all the household and kitchen furniture and all my beds and furniture counting four in number. My will is and it is my will that my beloved wife <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sary Tabitha<\/span> have all of my estate real and personal that I may die seized and possessed of during her lifetime to dispose of as she sees proper for her benefit and comfort of life.<\/p>\n<p>3rd &#8211; My will is at the death of my wife <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sary Tabitha<\/span> that all of my estate real and personal or the proceeds thereof which may remain in her hands not otherwise disposed of be equally divided between my <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sary Tabitha<\/span> and my sister <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sary Anderson<\/span> share and share alike.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise I make constitute and appoint <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Thomas E Brown Jr.<\/span> to be my executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.<\/p>\n<p>In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this Twenty Seven day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Two.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Joseph Anderson<\/span> (seal)<\/p>\n<p>Witness:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William I.
