Captain John Blair’s Company of Militia Horsemen of Hawkins County, 1788<\/p>\n

This is an important roster of Hawkins County soldiers who fought in a battle at the end of the State of Franklin era.<\/p>\n

Territory South of the Ohio Knox County Captain John Blair<\/strong> hath made oath before me that the above Pay Roll is just and true as it stands stated Given unto my Hand at Knoxville this ninth day of October 1792.\u00a0 James White<\/strong> J.P.<\/p>\n

I Joseph Martin<\/strong> Brigadier General of the District of Washington State of North Carolina do certify that the Service charged in the within Pay Roll was performed by my order.<\/p>\n
