\nOctober 18, 1855
\nProven: Dec. Term, 1855<\/p>\n
I, John Barnett <\/b>of the County of Hawkins and State of Tennessee, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made.<\/p>\n
I direct that my body be interred on my own farm in a manner suited to my condition in life, and for the worldly estate that it has pleased God to intrust with me with, I dispose of as follows:<\/p>\n
1st. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible.<\/p>\n
2nd. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Tempy all my real estate and personal property during her natural life. At her death I direct that my daughter Adaline Barnett <\/b>have one third of my real estate, also one cow and calf and one side saddle.<\/p>\n
The balance of my real estate and personal property to be sold and equally divided among my three daughters, Adaline Barnett,<\/b> Lucy Barnett<\/b> wife of John Barnett, Jr. <\/b>And Emily Miller <\/b>wife of John Miller<\/b>.<\/p>\n
I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Tempy <\/b>and William W. Johnson <\/b>my sole Executrix and Executor. It is also my desire that John Barnett,<\/b> Jr. live on and attend a part of my lands and pay my wife a reasonable rent for the lands he may attend.
