\nLewis Feltnor LEEPER (1810-1888) lived in Hamblen Co. most of his life. His father was Matthew LEEPER located across the county line in Jefferson at Muddy Creek. I am looking for Matthew Leeper’s wife and the names of their parents. Do you have a copy of the 1870 and 1880 Hamblen Co. census? Lewis or his siblings Peyton C. and William K. may have listed their parent’s names and birthplaces. There is a chance that Matthew LEEPER’s wife was a Native American. I lack a carabelle cusp which indicates that lineage, and Matthew’s wife and both their parents are the only unknown relatives. Any leads will be greatly appreciated.
