{"id":1765,"date":"2014-03-09T19:54:51","date_gmt":"2014-03-09T23:54:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/?p=1765"},"modified":"2014-03-11T16:16:02","modified_gmt":"2014-03-11T20:16:02","slug":"webb-theodoric-will-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/webb-theodoric-will-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Will of Theodoric Webb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Will Book ___, Page 496<br \/>\nProven: May Term, 1857<\/p>\n<p>State of Tennessee, Hawkins County.<\/p>\n<p>I <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Theorderic Webb<\/span> do make and publish this my last Will &amp; Testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made.<\/p>\n<p>First. I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executors.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly. I give and bequeath to my three children that is under age (to wit): <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Theodore<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Henry<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Catharine<\/span>, as much property as will make them equal with those that is of age.<\/p>\n<p>Thirdly. I give and bequeath to my wife <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Catharine<\/span> all the rest of my property, real and personal, during her lifetime or widowhood (to wit) my plantation and plantation utensils and all my stock of every kind, household and kitchen furniture, &amp;c.<\/p>\n<p>Fourthly. I give and bequeath at the death or marriage of my wife <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Catharine<\/span> all the property that remains both real and personal to my children (to wit) <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">John Webb<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elijah Webb<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Patsy Price<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Susannah Price<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lucinda Shanks<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel Webb<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Gabriel Webb<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">David Webb<\/span>, and the above named minors (to wit), <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Theodore<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Henry<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Catharine<\/span>, their heirs or assigns forever to be divided equally among them.<\/p>\n<p>Fifthly. I give and bequeath to my daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Polly<\/span> one dollar and no more.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">John Webb<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elijah Webb<\/span> my Executors.<\/p>\n<p>In witness whereof I do to this my last will set my hand and seal.
