In the Name of God, Amen.<\/p>\n
I George Wolfe<\/b>, Sen’r<\/span> of the State of Tennessee and County of Hawkins, being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say:<\/p>\n Principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God that give it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner.<\/p>\n First. As I have already given to my two sons Volentine<\/span> and John Wolfe<\/span> as much of my real and personal Estate as I intend for them, I dispose of the remainder as follows.<\/p>\n I give and bequeath to my two others sons George<\/span> and Nicholas Wolfe<\/span> 100 acres of land each, joining John Mill<\/span>, Hiram Mills<\/span>, Hiram Tucker<\/span>, John Wolfe<\/span>‘s and Volentine Wolfe<\/span>‘s lines,<\/p>\n and it is my request if my two sons George<\/span> and Nicholas Wolfe<\/span> cannot agree on the division of their land between themselves, they are to get a jury of disinterested men to divide it equal for them,<\/p>\n and I do further will that myself and my wife Polly<\/span> are to keep possession of the land for our maintenance during our natural lifetimes.<\/p>\n I further give and bequeath unto my four daughters that are at home with me, Viz: Barbara<\/span>, Polly<\/span>, Margaret<\/span>, and Ally Wolfe<\/span>, to each of them one horse beast to be worth $50.00 each, and to each of the said daughters $10.00 in money when they leave home or marry.<\/p>\n I further will that my wife Polly Wolfe<\/b>, if I should die before her, is to keep possession of my negro boy named Bob<\/b> to work for her maintenance during her natural life, and at her decease the said negro boy Bob<\/b> is to be sold and the money for his purchase is to be divided equally among all my daughters, Hannah, Katherine, Elizabeth<\/b>, Barbara, Sarah, Polly, Susannah, Margaret<\/b> and Ally<\/b>, and the girls that are at home, Viz. Barbara, Polly, Margaret<\/b> and Ally<\/b> to have equal with the others<\/p>\n and I also give to my daughters, Viz: Hannah, Katherine, Elizabeth, Barbara, Polly, Sarah<\/b>, Susannah, Margaret<\/b> and Alla<\/b> all of my land from the top of the copper ridge, running with the tip of said ridge an east and west direction north of said ridge bounded by Volentine Wolfe, Ausbrun\/Osborne Coffee, David Wilders’<\/b> line, to be equally divided among all the above named girls,<\/p>\n and all the land belonging to me south of the copper ridge, I give to my two sons George<\/b> and Nicholas Wolfe<\/b> to be equally divided between them,<\/p>\n and all my household and kitchen furniture to be at the disposal of my wife Polly<\/b>, and at her decease be at her disposal.<\/p>\n I also constitute, ordain and appoint my wife Polly Wolfe<\/b> my sole Executrix on this my last Will and Testament,<\/p>\n and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other Will and Testament by me heretofore, confirming this only to be my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal.
