\nProven: Feb’y 1850<\/p>\n
I, Harlen Vernon<\/span> of the County of Hawkins and State of Tennessee, being of sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.<\/p>\n First. I will that all my just debts be paid by my Executors out of moneys that I may die possessed of or that may first come into their hands from any property.<\/p>\n Secondly. I will that my three negro slaves, namely, Mary<\/span>, Marinda<\/span> & James<\/span> be free at my death and remain citizens of this state as other free slaves do.<\/p>\n Thirdly. I do not know that I have any lawful heirs or legal representatives living, but should there by any unknown to me and should apply to my Executors and make known that fact, I will that my Executors pay to each the sum of one dollar out of my estate.<\/p>\n Fourthly.
