I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Betty<\/span> my old sorrel mare, one fallen leaf table, one walnut cupboard, and her equal part of the kitchen furniture, half a dozen of cheers, also an equal part of my hogs.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I give and bequeath unto my son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William<\/span> my young sorrel mare, my smith tools, one bed and clothing, also one equal part of my hogs, an equal part of the kitchen furniture, an equal part of the cupboard furniture.<\/p>\n<p>I desire that my son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William<\/span> send my grandson <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Isaiah James Patterson<\/span> to school to learn to read and write, and that he give said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Isaiah J. Patterson<\/span> one horse and saddle at the age of 20 years, provided he stays with him until that period.<\/p>\n<p>Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Martha<\/span> my Bureau, also my young bay horse two years old, half a dozen of cheers, an equal part of the cupboard and kitchen furniture, an equal part of my hogs.<\/p>\n<p>Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Susannah Hunter Patterson<\/span> my young bay horse one year old past, one walnut chest, one black cow and her calf, half a dozen of chairs, an equal part of the cupboard and kitchen. furniture, one coffee kettle, an equal part of the hogs.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I give my grand daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Martha Patterson<\/span> one bed and clothing, one flax wheel and a small trunk.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I give and bequeath unto my grandson <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">James Patterson<\/span> one muley cow.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I do further bequeath unto my daughter <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Martha<\/span> one bed and clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I do further give and bequeath unto my daughters <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Betsy<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Martha<\/span> &amp; <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Susannah Slaughter<\/span> and my son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William<\/span> each one equal share of my table lining.<\/p>\n<p>I do further give and bequeath unto my son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William Patterson<\/span> my entry of 50 acres of land on the waters of Big Creek adjoining the lands of her son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William<\/span>&#8216;s.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I do further give and bequeath unto <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Betsy<\/span> a pair of drawing chairs, and my wearing apparel to be equally divided between my three daughters heretofore mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I further give and bequeath unto my four sons, to wit: <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">James<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">George<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Adam<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">John Patterson<\/span> one dollar each.<\/p>\n<p>Item. I do further give and bequeath unto my son <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William<\/span> my large family bible.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Charles Coffin Alexander<\/span> my Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and declaring this to be my last will and testament.<\/p>\n<p>In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal.
