I direct that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any money that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executor.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son <b>Joseph<\/b>&#8216;s heirs one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Thirdly. I give to my son <b>William<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Fourthly. I give to my son <b>Henry<\/b>&#8216;s heirs the sum of one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Fifthly. I give to my son <b>James<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Sixthly. I give to my son <b>John<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Seventhly. I give to my son <b>Thomas<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Eighthly. I give to my daughter <b>Mary<\/b> who intermarried with <b>James Mullenix<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Ninthly. I five to my daughter <b>Susannah<\/b> she intermarried with <b>James Simpson<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Tenth. I give to my son <b>Isham Dykes<\/b> the sum of one dollar.<\/p>\n<p>11th. I give to my grand daughter <b>Mary<\/b> and daughter of <b>Susannah Simpson<\/b> one cow and calf, one bed and furniture, which sums as above mentioned<\/p>\n<p>I will and desire that my Executor pay over out of any money that may come to his hands<\/p>\n<p>and further my will and desire is that my well beloved wife <b>Susannah<\/b> have all the remainder of my personal property, money &amp;c that I may die possessed of, also the tract of land whereon my son <b>John<\/b> now lives, it being a part of a 100 acre entry I bought of <b>G. McCrain<\/b> and joining the piece I sold to <b>James Simpson<\/b>, <b>William Dykes<\/b> &amp; others, supposed to contain about 50 acres, be the same more or less containing the houses, buildings and all improvements pertaining thereto.<\/p>\n<p>And Lastly. I nominate and appoint my son <b>Isham Dykes<\/b> my Executor to transact all business pertaining to this will.<\/p>\n<p>This 19th day of February, 1855.<\/p>\n<p><b>John<\/b> [<span style=\"font-style: italic\">X<\/span>] <b>Dykes<\/b> (seal) (his mark)<\/p>\n<p>Signed and acknowledged in our presence:<\/p>\n<p><b>Branch Tucker<br \/>\nGeorge M.
