\nProven: June Term, 1855<\/p>\n
I, John Dykes <\/b>do make and publish this as my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made.<\/p>\n
First. I direct that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any money that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executor.<\/p>\n
Secondly. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Joseph<\/b>‘s heirs one dollar.<\/p>\n
Thirdly. I give to my son William<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Fourthly. I give to my son Henry<\/b>‘s heirs the sum of one dollar.<\/p>\n
Fifthly. I give to my son James<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Sixthly. I give to my son John<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Seventhly. I give to my son Thomas<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Eighthly. I give to my daughter Mary<\/b> who intermarried with James Mullenix<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Ninthly. I five to my daughter Susannah<\/b> she intermarried with James Simpson<\/b> one dollar.<\/p>\n
Tenth. I give to my son Isham Dykes<\/b> the sum of one dollar.<\/p>\n
11th. I give to my grand daughter Mary<\/b> and daughter of Susannah Simpson<\/b> one cow and calf, one bed and furniture, which sums as above mentioned<\/p>\n
I will and desire that my Executor pay over out of any money that may come to his hands<\/p>\n
and further my will and desire is that my well beloved wife Susannah<\/b> have all the remainder of my personal property, money &c that I may die possessed of, also the tract of land whereon my son John<\/b> now lives, it being a part of a 100 acre entry I bought of G. McCrain<\/b> and joining the piece I sold to James Simpson<\/b>, William Dykes<\/b> & others, supposed to contain about 50 acres, be the same more or less containing the houses, buildings and all improvements pertaining thereto.<\/p>\n
And Lastly. I nominate and appoint my son Isham Dykes<\/b> my Executor to transact all business pertaining to this will.<\/p>\n
This 19th day of February, 1855.<\/p>\n
