Being confined to my bed in sickness, though perfectly in my natural sense, I am about to make my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n
First. I bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth<\/b> the plantation with all the farming implements and stock, during her natural life, and at her decease, all to fall to my son John,<\/b> with the exception of a certain horse beast and a cow to my daughter Jane.<\/b><\/p>\n
Also, a horse beast and a cow to my daughter Anna.<\/b><\/p>\n
I will and bequeath to my son Thomas<\/b> the tract of land whereon he now lives.<\/p>\n
I will and bequeath to my daughter Jane <\/b>a certain negro girl named Lettie;<\/b> and also to my daughter Ann_,<\/b> a negro girl named Lyd — Lyd<\/b>‘s <\/b>oldest child, if any, to belong to Jane<\/b> at her mother’s decease.<\/p>\n
In case either of my three children now living with me should die without issue, their portion of the property to be equally divided between the other two,<\/p>\n
and to my daughter Nancy Forgey,<\/b> I bequeath Fifty Dollars at my wife’s decease.<\/p>\n
In testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal.<\/p>\n
