{"id":1514,"date":"2014-02-10T19:51:05","date_gmt":"2014-01-26T07:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/?p=1514"},"modified":"2014-02-10T19:53:24","modified_gmt":"2014-02-11T00:53:24","slug":"morrisette-mary-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/morrisette-mary-will\/","title":{"rendered":"Will of Mary Morrisette"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-size: 18px;line-height: 24px\">Will Book __, Page 362<br \/>\nProven: 7 Sept. 1857<br \/>\n(recorded page 81)<\/p>\n<p>I <b>Mary Morrisette<\/b> do publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made.<\/p>\n<p>First, I direct that all my funeral Expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executors.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, I give and bequeath to my sons <b>Joseph, John <\/b>and <b>George Washington Morrisette<\/b> twenty five cents each, to be paid to them by my Executors as they have already received as much or more that I am able to give my other children.<\/p>\n<p>Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my son <b>Richard Mitchell Morrisette <\/b>my two negro boys named <b>Henry <\/b>and <b>Frank<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>I give and bequeath to my daughter <b>Nancy Everette<\/b> my negro woman named <b>Celia <\/b>and my negro boy named <b>Stephen <\/b>during her natural life then said property to descend to her heirs.<\/p>\n<p>Fifthly, I give and bequeath to my son <b>Richard Mitchell Morrisette<\/b> and my daughter <b>Nancy Everette<\/b> all the other property or money I may die possessed of to be divided equally between them, the division to be made by themselves if they can agree or in case they cannot agree, the division to be made to two dis-interested persons chosen by them as I don not wish any sale of property to be made.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son <b>Richard Mitchell Morrisette<\/b> and <b>William Galbraith<\/b> my Executors.<\/p>\n<p>In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal. This 19th day of May, 1843.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mary<\/b> [<span style=\"font-style: italic\">X<\/span>] <b>Morrisette<\/b> (seal) (her mark)<\/p>\n<p>Signed, sealed and published in our presence and we have subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the Testator.
