{"id":1507,"date":"2014-02-10T19:26:45","date_gmt":"2014-01-26T07:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/?p=1507"},"modified":"2014-02-10T19:34:35","modified_gmt":"2014-02-11T00:34:35","slug":"molsbee-william-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/molsbee-william-will\/","title":{"rendered":"Will of William Molsbee \/ Molsbey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-size: 18px;line-height: 24px\">Will Book __, Page 359<\/p>\n<p>State of Tennessee, Hawkins County,<\/p>\n<p>In the name of God, Amen.<\/p>\n<p>I <b>William Molsbee <\/b>of said county and state, being of sound mind and memory but weak in body, knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do make and ordain this to be my last Will &amp; Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.<\/p>\n<p>First. I recommend my soul to almighty God, and I request that all my just debts be paid,<\/p>\n<p>2ndly. After my decease I will that all my personal property shall be sold by my Executor at public auction, and out of the proceeds, my Executor shall pay <b>John Stoely<\/b> my step son $30.00.<\/p>\n<p>And to <b>William Molsby<\/b> $30.00.<\/p>\n<p>And to my daughter <b>Polly <\/b>wife of <b>Jacob Bowman<\/b> $30.00.<\/p>\n<p>And the balance if any to be paid over unto the hands of my beloved wife <b>Nancy<\/b>, and my request to is that at her death, if anything remains in her hands that it be paid over to <b>David Molsbey&#8217;s<\/b> daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Having heretofore conveyed to my son <b>David<\/b> all my land in consideration of his maintaining and supporting myself &amp; wife, I now state that that was the consideration alone that induced me to convey said land to him, and the $1,000.00 was only inserted as a mere matter of form by the person who drew the Deed of Conveyance which I now again ratify by this my last Will &amp; Testament.<\/p>\n<p>And should any defect or informality be discovered in said deed, my desire is and I now devise and bequeath to him all my title, right and interest in said land to said <b>David<\/b>, the balance to have enjoy &amp; possess forever.<\/p>\n<p>And I hereby appoint my son <b>David<\/b> my Executor, and also that he be excused from giving bond for the performance of his duties as Executor.<\/p>\n<p>My desire is that I may be buried on the farm where I now live, in a decent and plain manner and near where <b>Samuel Simmons<\/b> is buried.<\/p>\n<p>In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal.
