Term 1819<\/p>\n<p>In the Name of God, Amen.<\/p>\n<p>State of Tennessee, Hawkins County:<\/p>\n<p>I <b>Martha McWilliams<\/b> being in a low state of health but of sound mind and perfect memory, and calling to mind that it is appointed once for all men to die, do make constitute and ordain the following to be my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n<p>And first and principally. I bequeath and recommend my soul into the hands of my gracious God who gave it me and my body to a decent Christian burial in a full and certain hope of the Resurrection of the same.<\/p>\n<p>Item 2nd. For sundry good causes moving me thereunto, it is declared to be my last will, and I appoint my will beloved brother<b> John McAnally<\/b> my sole heir in law and equity to all and singular my live stock, household and kitchen furniture with all goods and chattels I may die possessed of.<\/p>\n<p>After my brother <b>John<\/b> shall have paid the expenses of my funeral out of the same the remainder shall be to and for his own use except one bed and furniture and one trunk which for special reasons I leave to my beloved niece <b>Elizabeth McAnally <\/b>(daughter of above said brother).<\/p>\n<p>Item 3rd. Whereas by the will of my late husband <b>Jesse McWilliams<\/b>, I have a sum of money willed to me which may be seen by a reference to said will, now I hereby declare it my last will that as soon as the aforesaid money is collected that my brother <b>John<\/b> shall pay or cause to be paid out of the same all my just debts, likewise shall pay or give to my beloved sister <b>Sally Burns <\/b>the sum of twenty dollars, and the remainder of said money left me by my late husband&#8217;s will &#8212; with all other monies or property that I may leave at my decease not otherwise herein disposed of, I leave and bequeath to my aforesaid brother <b>John <\/b>to his own use and behoof and for no other purpose whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal This Twenty fifth day of January in the Year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Martha McWilliams <\/b>(seal)<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses present:<\/p>\n<p>Test.<\/p>\n<p><b>Richard Moore<br \/>\nThomas<\/b> [<span style=\"font-style: italic\">X<\/span>] <b>Stubblefield<\/b> (his mark)<b><br \/>\nJeremiah McAnally<\/b><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This Hawkins County Will was transcribed by one of the following volunteers:\u00a0 Audrae Mathis; Gary Fletcher; Betty Mize; Diana Arney; Karen Negron, Kathey Welder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Will Book __, Page 345 Proven: Aug.
