In the Name of God, Amen.<\/p>\n
I Francis Dalzell<\/b> of the County of Hawkins in the state of Tennessee being weak of body but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n
I recommend my soul to Almight God.<\/p>\n
And as to my worldly Estate, I dispose of it as follows, that is to say.<\/p>\n
I will that my just debts be paid by my Executor and for that purpose that the debts owing to me be collected.<\/p>\n
The money which I have now on hand I bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy<\/b>.<\/p>\n
I also give and bequeath to her the use of my negroes during her live, and at her death they all shall be set free.<\/p>\n
I also devise to my wife Nancy<\/b> the house and lots on which I now live with the appurtenances, and the use of my plantation adjoining George Hale<\/b> and John A. McKinney<\/b> to her during her life and after her death the plantation to go to the children of my brother William <\/b><\/p>\n
and I make the same disposition of my river plantation if it be gained in law as a suit is now depending respecting it.<\/p>\n
All my stock and household furniture and farming utensils I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife.<\/p>\n
And I appoint my friends Dicks Alexander <\/b>and John A. McKinney <\/b>the Executors of this my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal This the first day of December A.D. 1823.<\/p>\n
