\nProven: Aug. Term, 1861<\/p>\n
I, George S. Childress <\/b>of the County of Hawkins in the State of Tennessee, being in feeble health, but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n
As regards my estate, real and personal, I desire to dispose of the same as follows:<\/p>\n
First. I will and desire that all my indebtedness and my funeral expenses be paid as soon as practicable after my decease.<\/p>\n
Secondly. I will and devise to my dearly beloved wife Sarah T. Childress<\/b> my entire interest in the negroes, land and other personal property which belong to the heirs of James M. Childress<\/b> dec’d, late of Sullivan County, State of Tennessee, said lands are situated in Sullivan County upon the waters of Reedy Creek. Said negroes and lands are undivided between the heirs of James M. Childress<\/b>, dec’d.<\/p>\n
And Lastly. I do hereby appoint (and nominate) Andrew Leslie<\/b>, Esq. of Sullivan County, Tennessee my Executor of this my last Will and Testament.<\/p>\n
In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal on this 20th day of June, 1861.<\/p>\n
