I, William Hicks<\/span> do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking void all other wills by me at any time made.<\/p>\n First — I direct that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executor.<\/p>\n Secondly — I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy<\/span> the sum of one dollar and this is all I ever intent to give her.<\/p>\n Thirdly — I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth<\/span> the sum of one dollar and that is all I ever intend giving her.<\/p>\n Fourthly — I give and bequeath to my daughter Polly<\/span> the sum of one dollar and that is all I intend to give her.<\/p>\n Fifthly — I give and bequeath to my daughter Lizan<\/span> [?] one sum of one dollar and that is all that I intend to give her.<\/p>\n Sixthly — I give and bequeath to my daughter Kitty<\/span> the sum of one dollar and that is all I intend to give her.<\/p>\n Seventhly — I give and bequeath to Jesse Hicks<\/span> my son the sum of one dollar and that is all that I intend to give him.<\/p>\n Eighthly — I give unto my son William I. Hicks<\/span> the sum of one dollar and that is all that I intent to give him.<\/p>\n Ninthly — I give and bequeath to my son James Hicks<\/span> the sum of one dollar and that is all I ever intend to give him.<\/p>\n Tenthly — I give and bequeath to my son John Hicks<\/span> the following tract of land lying in Hawkins County in the eleventh civil district, bound as follows, beginning on my white oak corner thence southwardly up the Spring branch with John Webb<\/span> line to Rogers<\/span> line, thence westwardly with Rogers<\/span> line to William Jenkins<\/span> line thence with said Jenkins<\/span> line to the beginning.<\/p>\n And lastly, I do hereby nominate, appoint my son John Hicks<\/span> my executor.<\/p>\n In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal this the 14th day of January 1873.<\/p>\n William<\/span> [X<\/span>] Hicks<\/span> (his mark) (seal)<\/p>\n Signed, sealed and published in our presence and we have subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the testator this 14th day of January 1873.<\/p>\n Burwin B.
