{"id":1006,"date":"2014-01-30T16:42:08","date_gmt":"2014-01-29T23:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/?p=1006"},"modified":"2014-01-30T16:43:35","modified_gmt":"2014-01-30T21:43:35","slug":"moore-william-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/hawkins\/moore-william-will\/","title":{"rendered":"Will of William Moore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Book 2, Pages 138-139<br \/>\nFiled and Proven: January 1, 1874<\/p>\n<p>I <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William Moore<\/span> do hereby make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void any and all other wills by me heretofore made.<\/p>\n<p>1st &#8211; I will to brother <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span> and his wife all my real estate for and during their natural life, and at their deaths it is my will that <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Zadok N. Moore<\/span> my nephew and son of said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span>, is the have my land known as the ___ or white ___ farm.<\/p>\n<p>And that my nephew and son of the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">John W. L Moore<\/span> is to have all my other lands known as the Mud Creek farm.<\/p>\n<p>2nd. I also will to my said brother <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span> all my other personal property not heretofore disposed of.<\/p>\n<p>3rd. I will that my mule shall be given to <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nancy J. Moore<\/span> for the use and benefit of herself and family.<\/p>\n<p>4th &#8211; I will that at the time <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Harriet P. Moore<\/span> daughter of the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span> arrives at the age of twenty one years; she is to have two hundred and fifty dollars in cash, and that out of my money on hand and which is due and owing.<\/p>\n<p>The taxes which may hereafter fall due on the said lands so mentioned in this my will is to be paid until <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Tennessee America Moore<\/span>, daughter of the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span> arrives at the age of twenty one years, and then the remainder of said money is to be equally divided between <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elizabeth B.<\/span> and the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Tennessee A. Moore<\/span> daughters of said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>5th &#8211; I further will and bequeath to the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elizabeth B. Moore<\/span> the capital stock of one hundred and twenty five dollars, I have in the E. T. &amp; VA RR.<\/p>\n<p>6th &#8211; and lastly, I hereby appoint the said <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Samuel R. Moore<\/span> as my executor and special guardian for the said children and legatees in this will whose duty it shall be to keep them money on hand and due and owing at interest, to pay the taxes out of the same, as provided in this will, which may hereafter become due on said land to pay to the said legatees, as hereby provided at the time herein specifies.<\/p>\n<p>In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal on this 20th day of December 1872.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William Moore<\/span> (Seal)<\/p>\n<p>Signed, sealed and acknowledged in our presence on the day it&#8217;s been dated<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">William S.
