DORAM
Please send any infomation on the DORAM family that moved there in 1802. I have documents from 1839 and then the history is lost. Please help. Also, there may be info in Grainger, Co.; Franklin, Co. since there is a cove named DORAM Cove; and Claiborne, Co. She is the daughter Gen. Thomas BARBEE and I have our families’ history dated back to 1086. Lydia DORAM and her husband had 6 children in Danville, Ky. and three more in Tn. a boy and two girls. My GGG Grandmother was called “Molly”, I have been told she is from Hawkins County. She is suppose to be a Winstead married a Williams or a Williams married a Winstead. She had a daughter born in Hawkins County @ 1884? She relocated to Illinois. I have history in Illinois but nothing prior. Her Father was maybe a Winstead as her daughter’s name was Kathryn Henrietta Williams born August 19, 1884 in Rogersville, Tn. Molly was also called “Tishy”? My grandparents were from the Frog Level area of Hawkins Co. Sometime during his life, my grandfather changed the spelling of his surname to MAINOUS from possibly MANESS or another variation. I’m looking for information and the parents of John ALLEN born about 1799 possibly in Hawkins Co, but I haven’t been able to prove it yet. He moved to St. Clair Co, IL early in life, possibly with his parents and/or his siblings and married Winifred ____ who was born in Indiana. Their children were John F. b. 1829, James M. b. 1832, Nathaniel G. b. 1834, Thomas b. 1835, George W. b. 1838 and Rebecca b. 1840. All of the children were born in St. Clair Co, IL except Rebecca who was born in Randolph Co, IL. I will be glad to share any info that I have.

Looking for the family of Sarah (Sallie) SKELTON BRANDON BRADLEY. Endymion BRANDON married Sarah SKELTON May 13, 1847 in Hawkins Co., TN. Endymion was killed during the Civil War and Sarah remarried to John BRADLEY about 1867. In his Civil War pension application, her son Carter BRANDON indicates that his mother died about 1901.
