This bible was published in 1866 in Philadelphia by John Edwin Potter.<\/p>\n
This bible was in the possession of Joseph William Chandler<\/strong> for many years and then in possession of his wife after his death. Joseph William Chandler<\/strong> was the grandson of Joseph J. Sanders<\/strong>, the original owner. (On the front inside cover, in very faint writing, ” My Daddy’s, Deasey Sanders.”) After Joseph J. Sanders, it came into the possession of Deasey Ann Sanders Herriman, his daughter. She is the one who entered most of the family information. After her death, it was passed to her half-sister, Atilla Gerome Sanders Chandler, mother of Joseph William Chandler.\u00a0 She entered information about her children. The information relating to Joseph J. Sander’s parents and siblings was entered at a much later date by Mrs. J W Chandler, which she obtained from a Sanders family member.<\/p>\n Following is exact wording found in script penmanship. Chandler<\/strong> was killed by a passenger train on the I.C. Railroad,October 17,
1929.<\/p>\n
