Obituary W. D. Galloway<\/strong><\/p>\n

It having pleased God in His boundless wisdom, on the 31st<\/sup> of December last, to remove Mr. W. D. Galloway<\/strong>, our highly esteemed friend from our midst, we, your committee, desire to express the extent in which he was held and our sympathy with his bereaved family. Hardeman has lost one of her noblest citizens, the community one of its leading and most active men in every respect, in church, home and school \u2013 acting as director in the latter for a number of years, always discharging his duties honestly and faithfully.<\/p>\n

His home is now deprived of a gentle and loving husband, a kind and affectionate father.<\/p>\n

Strange that God would send his angels and pluck the fairest flowers, the ones that we need most; but let us bow in humble submission to the Father who doeth all things well.<\/p>\n

Sister Galloway and other loved ones, you do not weep alone. To know Brother William was to love him. We feel our loss and mingle our tears with yours \u2013 but would comfort one another with these words: \u201cYet a little while and He that cometh shall come, and them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him, and so shall we ever be together with the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

Together! Then we will no more remember<\/p>\n

The anguish of the parting hour,<\/p>\n

But with love increasing, never ceasing<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll sing of Jesus\u2019 power.<\/p>\n

Over cruel death He is the victor,<\/p>\n

Above the grave His flag shall wave;<\/p>\n

And the glorious anthem of the ransomed<\/p>\n

Shall be His power to save.<\/p>\n

Resolved; That we will ever cherish a fond remembrance of him, imitating his example in faith, patience and love, praying that the family may bear their grief with patience and fortitude; that the summons may find us ready also.<\/p>\n

Resolved; That a copy of this memorial be given the family of the deceased and a copy furnished each of the county papers with request for publication.<\/p>\n
