H. ANDERSON<\/strong> &#8211; Chairman, <strong>A. J. COATES<\/strong> &#8211; Secretary, <strong>R. W. SMITH<\/strong>, <strong>R. N. MITCHEL<\/strong>L, <strong>W. D. HANKINS<\/strong>, and <strong>C. A. MILLER<\/strong>, members <strong>F. M. McGLATHERY<\/strong> and <strong>S. H. CLINTON<\/strong> were absent. <strong>J. W. WILSON<\/strong> was represented by proxy and by the Chairman. On motion of <strong>C. A. MILLER<\/strong>, a convention of the Democracy of Hardeman County, was called for May 29, 1886.<br \/>\n<strong>A. J. COATES<\/strong>, Esq. tendered his resignation as Secretary of the Committee alleging his candidacy for Attorney General as a reason for same. The committee reluctantly accepted same after voting thanks to Mr. <strong>COATES<\/strong> for his efficiency as secretary. On motion of <strong>R. W. SMITH<\/strong>, Esq., <strong>C. A. MILLER<\/strong> was elected secretary in place of <strong>COATES<\/strong>, resigned. &#8211; signed <strong>C. H. ANDERSON<\/strong>, Chairman and <strong>C. A.
