Thomas BROWN was born ca 1779 PA. He married 23 Oct 1800 in Adams County, Ohio, Sally SMITH born ca 1780 PA.
Living next door in DeKalb County, MO, and later in Madison County, IA, beginning 1850 are the BROWN brothers, John b. 1807, James b. 1809, Thomas Vensen / Vincent b. 1816 and Hezekiah (called Kioh) b. 1831. Also a married sister, Frances (Fanny) SHEPARD / SHEPERD / SHEPHERD & her little daughter, Sally SHEPARD.
Thomas BROWN died in September 1859 in Lee Township, Madison County, Iowa.
The families of Thomas & Sally (SMITH) BROWN are originally from the old Cherokee Nation in GA, and moved north through TN, KY, etc. to PA and eventually West through Champaign County, IL, and DeKalb County, MO, and finally into Madison County, IA.
Can someone help find the rest of the siblings & where in PA did Thomas & Sally live before moving to OH in 1800?
Where in PA were the Cherokees in 1779? Who were the Cherokees helping in 1779? Just thought I'd ask!!!
Thanks.

I recently obtained an old photo of a cousin at her father's grave in or near Chattanooga/Lookout Mountain. I had thought that he was buried in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, but this photo does not appear to be at a national cemetery due to the tombstones in the background.
The cousin was Dovil "Dovie" Rebecca (CROW) MOON 1889-1942. Her father was John Henry CROW who died in Chattanooga in 1903-1904. There was said to have been a tombstone shaped like a locomotive engine near his grave. He had worked at the railroad yards there in Chattanooga.

They left Tn and moved to Missouri.

Mark and Linnie had two boys John Milton and Henry. Linnie passed away before they returned to TN. Mark and the children returned in a steerwagon and resided in Monroe County, Kentucky. Linnie also only had one brother according to sources.
Any info on which part of Missouri they moved to or where Mark originally came from would be helpful.

I am searching for now 15 years for my grandmother Ida Belle (HUGHES / HUGHS) CASSIDY who lived in Chattanooga 1st District with Albert CASSIDY, her husband and a son William Thomas CASSIDY, my father.
After that I cannot find my grandmother. Between 1920 and 1940 she has died or divorced or something. Albert has married again because next to him in Forest Hill Cemetery is a Agnes E. Albert had 3 children - William T CASSIDY 1895, Lillian CASSIDY 1897 and Alline 1898. Alline is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, also here in Chattanooga, TN.
Ida has been my long awaited person to find. I was hoping this year I might find her. But not yet.
